Meijer E-Commerce
Meijer was updating their entire e-commerce experience bringing it onto the Hybris platform including their order online with curbside pickup service. This included their shopping cart, checkout and order confirmation for both mobile and desktop web. As the Lead UX Designer on this project, I worked closely with product managers, the client, and developers to build the designs.

It was imperative to maintain Meijer's needs such as the specifics of their curbside scheduling, options for notes, substitutions on an order, and payment methods. At the same time, the designs needed to align with the Hybris platform which required understanding where those limitations were and communicating with product managers regularly Working in an Agile process.
I created wireframes for mobile and desktop for various use cases documenting details of each condition in Confluence, the tool of choice by product managers and engineers. I presented these wireframes to the client for stakeholder approval, further defining features in scope for the first release and identifying those features that would be pushed to the second iteration.
Some conditions to address when designing the checkout flow included switching between pickup and delivery, adding or removing notes, messaging the user when items may not be available when either the store location is changed or if the user switches between pickup and delivery, and different scheduling options.
A future iteration would include the option to rate and/or tip your shopper.
Partnering with a talented Visual Designer, I reviewed the annotated wireframes and requirements so the Meijer branded elements, text styles and colors could be applied in a consistent and highly designed way.
